I have identified the root cause in the Middle-Eastern conflict as not being political, religious, or social- in fact it is the strong negative energy of hatred which flares up between the parties. Europe used to be this way, with the national rivalries spilling over into an unhealthy hatred that lead to wars. Hatred, like love, can wear many clothes. It can wear the cloths of a religion, it can wear the clothes of a political or ethnic identity. but in truth it is none of these fleeting forms. It is an energy, a twisted and unclean version of an energy we call Love.
Only be transmuting this energy into love and forgiveness can peace be attained. And I believe very strongly, perhaps religiously, perhaps mystically, perhaps even scientifically, that a just and lasting peace in the Middle-East will be the prelude or even the outporing of world peace.
So our prayers for peace should be especially directed here. Our prayers for the miracle of forgiveness- as even if a rational mind can perceive the benefits of forgiveness, only through the grace of God is it a possibility to actualization this overcoming of resentment. Peace is very much a possibility.
It is with this in mind that I turn my attention to the art of alchemy, precursor to both chemistry and psychology, possessing a wealth of wisdom as to the human condition and the way in which our attitudes can affect the way energy flows through our personal subsystems.
The very highest goal is purest peace and love, inside ourselves as much as in the world around us. Through an appreciation of the divine path that says that the basic unit of humanities is the family, we can spread this family love, love within the context of illumined and inspiring roles, to the universe around us. Just as the family is the basic social unit, so within us is there a system of mind-body organisation that determines our state of health. Alchemy, which evolved into the likes of Jungian psychology, holds many a key to understanding of these things, presently dark to us, but soon to come into the light.
