Towards a New Humanity

It is quite clear to us here that the only solution to the challenges posed by this moment is to press forward with the most important change of all- a change to ourselves. Whilst personal transformation has been a theme for centuries, the potential for humanity to evolve as one has only recently been seen as a possibility. At this point, we hold, it is in fact a necessity for the continued survival of the human race. Our technology has reached a point of no return.

It has reached the point where we either use it to transform our way of interacting with our planet, to make it both post-industrial and harmonious with the ecosystems surrounding us, that we have realised with increasing clarity we are dependent upon- or use it to wipe our sorry asses off the face of the planet before we become a danger to the planets surrounding ours. In this there is a failsafe to nuclear technology; only a peaceful, harmonious society can hope to survive the advent of a nuclear age. One overcome by self-centeredness and blinkered enslavement to special interests will quite simply self-destruct, before it spreads.

Looking at the challenges that face us, we would be well-advised to remember this central and well-designed truism of universe existence. The path to having god-like power is also the path to god-like responsibility and the consideration of others this brings, and in this context I include not only humans, but the rich variety of life with whom we share our planetary existence.

Everything that has happened thus far can only be seen as a warning shot, a shot above the bows, fired by no external enemy, but by us, towards us, warning ourselves of the responsibilities to ourselves and the planet we hold. There was once a time to record history, there was once a time to speak of history's own unfoldment, yet now has come a sudden rush of something that can only be called consciousness, not only the consciousness of a few individuals, but one on a planetary level.

Let us look at the year, look at the calendar and we will see how little time is left, mere moments of this illusion we call time. In these moments, we have to learn new ways, ways in keeping with our enlarged sense of selfhood, fired by our ascendant technology. A world on the verge of discoveries of deep space travel, time travel and on the cusp of computing power that could peer into the very structure of this mathematically-designed universe itself, must awake to itself, must awake to it's own internal unity, it's various members being parts of one body, a body that is waking into consciousness of itself and it's place in the universe.

In many ways, this is the last year before the great beginning. This is a time of great and dramatic change, a sudden unfoldment of evolution, by the end of which former things will be no more. A natural, sustainable world in terms of energy, politics, human inter-relations is the only way forward and it is becoming clearer and clearer all the time. As our dreams, both personal and collective, come closer to fruition, we will all the more strongly reject that which is not in accord with them. For we are not so much being remade by some hypothetical outside force, as remaking ourselves, being ultimately the arbiters of our own destinies, the co-creators of ourselves. A process we are all the more conscious of, as the moment dawns when we can stand upright in mind and heart, as well as merely in bipedal form. A moment in which we will be in touch as never before with who we are, aware as never before of that divine spark burning brightly within us and ready as never before to resume communication with our divine ancestors, who have cared so lovingly for us for all these years.

Beings in Blue

I'm on a roll now and would just like to mention another strong influence on me, in connection with all this. It began when in a vivid 'dream-like experience' (I'm not going to specify what brought this on, other than to say it seems to be pretty similar to stimuli experienced by the Biblical prophets) I met some amazing beings. I later called them the 'Elohim', which is really not something that occurred to me at the time, in which they seemed something more like a high-tech version of the Hindu gods. They were blue human-like creatures, yet very spiritual. I felt that they loved me very much and one of them, a female, touched my forehead and the roof of my mouth at the same time, as if she was activating some pressure point. I felt a wave of intense love sweep through me.

Something in my mind had opened up and, with the music of The Future Sound of London in the background, they 'showed me', telepathically, the violent yet amazing process of how life unfurled (rather than simply evolved, though that happened concurrently) on this planet, all the way from it's beginnings as a life-plasm sent hurtling into the atmosphere from space. I felt that these beings are my ancestors and that they had traced my DNA since that first explosion of life and later bred with some of my prehistoric family. They seemed to know and love me as their son, just as people speak about God being a father in heaven, they seemed to by my heavenly parents. I asked them why they had revealed themselves to me this was and they said, in a deep, holographic voice like the sound of rushing waters, 'Because you care, because you care.'

They showed me how they had given the Earth so much and also young people sub-cultures in which they could share in this cosmic love. I wondered about the so-called 'War on terror' and the state of the environment and they showed me that violence between people was never their intention, even though it did play such a huge role in evolution, especially at the most primitive levels in which whole species simply absorbed one another. They showed me that should humanity ever go vastly wrong, means to eradicate most life on the planet in huge fires exist, one of them of course being our own nuclear arsenals, which if we don't learn to be peaceful we may well end up using on ourselves.

I had a sudden desire to join them as 'life carriers' *1, going through the universe to implant life and tend it, like great, cosmic gardeners. They seemed pleased by this and didn't seem to block me- I heard (in my mind, of course)- 'he wants to join us, he wants to join us', as a kind of enthused chorus with emotions beyond my reckoning but not my ability to feel them. I saw that my life was a series of challenges, experiences, tests if you will, all to see if I could be worthy of greater honours. I saw how I could one day join them on a spaceship, going through the universe like the Starship Enteprise, but even more amazing, tending evolving systems and planting life itself on emerging planets. What a destiny!

At this point it became very strange and I am willing to say it was caused by my own mind talking to itself, but they 'showed me' how they were harvesting the Earth, trying to find the 144,000 people that the Book of Revelation talks of, to transport them to another world, to a heavenly world, whilst they sorted out the problems on this one, that could well become unmanageable for us. I pictured UFOs landing near great fires, taking the chosen ones to heavenly safety while the wickedness of the world was destroyed, literally, much like a Sodom and Gomorrah incident, yet on a much larger scale- 'First by water (the flood), then by fire', I thought. But this was presented as only one of many possible futures, depending on how we behave. Another one is that life carry on, but people are still harvested, people who's DNA has evolved and been kept the right way over the generations. This has little (but maybe not nothing) to do with race, but more to do with the individual resulting from historical processes and of course most of all, their own choices. How we play our cards is much more important than the ones we are dealt, but all of us have received good cards if we just realise this.

I pictured them looking over the Earth, studying the living, Akashic records of people to see what they are like and approaching them, recruiting them, as they find people who have lived life the right way and most of all, cherish others with a tender love. People who understand what life is really about- it was like I was finding the real meaning , the real success. What a thought- that evolution was not about creating ever-tougher, more physically survivable creatures. Such beings can easily be wiped out from the skies, as were the dinosaurs when they got too violent, when their life became more a curse than a blessing and hence questionably sacred.*2

No, life was about creating conditions favourable to ever-more kind and sensitive beings, loving one another, gardening the Earth and caring for it's lifeforms with a touching sympathy. Physical evolution, which actually resulted in more delicate, complex creatures that were able to have souls, gave way to spiritual evolution, an evolution of mind, of values, of hearts. It has a course, a blueprint, but due to the nature of universal freewill, we need to find our way there, discover the real nature of the universe and the supreme power of love. This process looks from the outside like evolution and at times seems to be a mixture of chaos and order. Yet, the life-carriers know it as a flower unfurling, with a definite result if all goes well. *3 I felt I was engaging in telepathic conversations with the beings who did this in this planet, beings that still exist and are portrayed in the Bible briefly (though a little longer in the Mormon version) as Elohim, or gods and in Hinduism feature prominently, even down to their blue, spiritual skin.

Notes-

*1. Many say these life carriers are spoken of in ancient mythologies, including certain noted writers, but due to the rich symbolism of the original stories, it cannot be proven beyond a doubt that this is what is being said (although for me it does seem logical). More recently, they are mentioned explicitly in the Urantia Book, from where I got this term; a work that I was very grateful to find, as it brought everything I was considering together for me. It speaks of planets being marked as ready for life, as ours once was, and then 'life carriers' implanting their sacred life-seeding plasm, carefully guiding it's progress, as it gradually spreads and evolves.

*2. Of course, all life is sacred, but when it violates universal laws and makes life difficult for more gentle and spiritual beings, then the lesser of the two evils may be to eliminate it, creating freedom for the oppressed- much like destroying Nazi Germany- cruel, but necessary for a freer world, one worth living in and one that respects God and feels His Love.

*3 Also, certain beings may be actually introduced directly, perhaps even us, brought down discretely on spaceships. Another possibility, which may happen instead or as well as the first, is that they mated with some of the most evolved Simians, speeding up their evolution be mixing in new and more evolved DNA. Just looking into the eyes of a monkey or ape shows they are pretty intelligent and this small DNA difference may be all that seperates us. Evolutionary scientists say this jump evolved by natural processes as well, but they have been unable to find the missing link they posit for it and they have to admit- it's a pretty massive jump! It's just unfortunate that non-scientific creationism is so often posited as an alternative, though I hold out hope that 'intelligent design' theorems can begin to accommodate extra-terrestrial participation more.

Such inter-species mating may even happen now at times, who knows, though it would have to be carefully regulated and is quite different from the usual 'abduction phenomenon', which if not imagined is often different beings, based upon their reported behaviour which can at times border on abuse. Perhaps there are 'good and bad' aliens, ones who serve God and those in rebellion? If so, we can rest assured that the God-loving ones are more plentiful in the universe and also ultimately stronger.

Intelligent Design and Unintelligent Bickering

Today I will turn my attention to another thing- namely the furor over 'Intelligent Design'. This is all something which gives me cause for concern and which is filled with humourous ironies- more than could be expected. Just as 'Conservatives' support Bush, despite his Administration's attempts to undermine the very values and institutions which they seek to conserve- so we have a strange play of names and associations with Intelligent Design.

First of all we have it being supported by Christian Conservatives. Now what these people really believe in is known as Creationism, and the more fundamentalist of them believe that this happened in precisely 6 days. For myself, I agree that the Earth was to some extent created, but that it was really a case of being intelligently nurtured. Natural processes were divinely guided, through various cosmic agencies, to give her a better chance of fulfilling an embedded 'blueprint' of perfection. To me, evolution is pre-planned, yet the plan takes time and dramas as it unfolds. But I don't believe that this happened with any overpowering or sudden force- just gentle nudges in the right direction.

On the other side we have the Evolutionists, whose historical mentor, Charles Darwin, in his day was the proponent of a more intelligent, less superstitious view of things. Yet now we see them supporting the theory's primacy against all philosophical advances, to the last man. Now, take a step back, everyone. Do you really believe that everything came about by chance, that the highest forms of life are always the fittest ones? What about the delicate flower or the human intellectual, who could never for a second survive in a universe that was really dominated by a nature, 'red in tooth and claw'?

There is no stopping religious, scientific, or philosophical progress. No-one can feel secure that their particular ideology will have the last word. Newton was superseded by Einstein, Einstein to some extent by the Quantum physicists- but neither were proven wrong. There was just a finer and more revealing truth out there to be discovered, which mankind became culturally ready for. No- these truths are not divorced from the general Culture in which they are discovered- it is all linked. Newtonian physics was the thought of Imperial progress, pushing society onwards like knocking a billiard ball- whilst Einstein's relativity heralded the birth of pluralism and multicultural societies. No one of us thinks in a vacuum and this is why the truth is slowly discovered and revealed... It is divinely revealed, often through the medium of dreams, to those who seem to 'discover ' it.

So lets all stop the mob mentality. Lets give Intelligent design a chance, no matter who the present supporters of this educational advance are. Darwin was never really saying that men are simply advanced monkeys- just that their ancestors were. Also, Intelligent Design is not claiming evolution doesn't happen- just that the universe in which one finch changes into another finch is one that was, basically, intelligently designed and therefore both beautiful and capable of producing intelligent minds, with which to contemplate that beauty.

Thank-you for your time!
