The Holy Way

The Tao, The Ki, The Way, The Force, God's Plan; all of these are of the same essence. We need to be in tune with the great stream of our being, something we ourselves generate as a manifestation of our life. As spiritual beings manifesting ourselves in the material dimensions, we create this stream, yet often forget what it is. We need to constantly align ourselves with the reality of our being-ness, to flow smoothly along, learning, loving, being gently carried to our destination in the highest heavens of God.

We need to remember our truest values and thus swim with our stream. Our pain and frustration comes from trying to swim against the current, with mangled conceptions of how things should be, when, in fact, a recognition and unfolding of the way they truly are is the most liberating force of all.

What could be greater than a free-will universe in which we willingly love God by loving one another? In which increasingly wonderful and beautiful forms evolve on planets, finding more and more of their creator as they thrive in sunlight and spiritual foods to come? As we find increasingly better things, we move onwards towards them. This shows our learning of higher morality and of the higher artistic possibilities of the universe.

God and the universe being an artist, we being children of same are likewise artists at heart. We create art simply by purely living our lives, expressing our deepest wishes whenever we live sincerely. Sincerity, sincerity and more sincerity- this is the way to enlightenment.

Holding to the Sacred

I have a very bad habit of experiencing a great, blissful experience, one which shines with eternal love, relayed through the universe- only to let my resident fears and insecurities rupture the bubble of reality and let in 'the world' of limitations, of sufferings. Put short, especially when sensitised by great experiences, I am liable to feel something, some small irregularity so troubling it is as if it is poised to shatter the calm- which, then, over-reacting with a sudden burst of what looks like bad-temper, but is in reality a flowering of insecurity, an attempt to preserve security anew.

This is what I wish to conquer- my temper, my insecurity, my backwards- rushing perceptions that pull me back just when I am making the most progress. I want to extend my trust and keep the good feeling flowing, somehow let those destructive, unstable energies and my cynicism find a new channel, so as not to impinge in the purity of heavenly perceptions. I do really mean heavenly perceptions- I regularly experience satori-like bliss, a gift from a loving God, but then hours later my own feeling is ruptured when some small thing goes wrong.

I don't see this as just my problem- I see it as humanity's problem, yet as a human, it is as much mine as anyones, the 'cross I have to bear'. Good, trustful communication and a stronger faith could well help. To some extent, techniques like deep breathing, counting to ten could help, but what I am looking for is something beyond repression, rather to let it out in a healthy and positive way. Sometimes this can mean sharing what I am thinking with someone, however crazy it sounds, but then I need to be careful not to let it be done in a damaging way- either of their feelings or of my reputation for being sane! (Something that this blog, in the wrong hands, could well do- but the love of freedom of speech and the relative anonymity of the internet make this expression possible, in line with the 'avoid repression' policy above).

It is almost as if God gives me these great glimpses of eternity, or eternal love, that great ocean of kindness, of mercy and beauty, only to test my faith by allowing reality to nip me like a biting mosquito, to see if my faith is strong enough to maintain heavenly perceptions despite these provocations- many of which are no doubt merely imagined by a restless mind. Of course, another possibility s that my mind has been long-conditioned to define 'reality' as a negative to be faced, one which is escaped from in 'fantasy' realms. Knowing more, from the study of Reality (with a capital R) and religion, I now know that it is reality that is good and our psychology that is full of pitfalls and mental potholes.

The ancient problem remains- how to be truly religious and in the world at once? The ancient answer comes back- by conquering our own self and thereby the world, no longer feeling bothered or 'messed around' by it. A heavenly calm, a divine passion, accompanying heavenly perception. The only anger is righteous anger, to write wrongs, not an exaggerated sense of our own misfortunes or pressures. Psychology makes true religion possible, the feminine balanced with the masculine in a universe that is, essentially, feminine, inhabited by masculine minds.

Dreamin'- Bird Salvation

Note- Here's the last of the dreams for now. This one was actually more of a vision, had in waking time. I must have a very vivid imagination, as all kinds of psychedelic things are occurring to me all the time. Only a fraction make it to the stage of beinmg blogged about- but I want to share them more with others. I don't know if something changed in me when, so many moons ago, I experimented with LSD so often. Either that, or I'm just a very open-minded person (I have friends who tried it too and so far as I know, none of them had the same types of experiences).

So here is a vision I had on 5/18/07...

I was walking to school, pondering as I sometimes do just how hard it all is, how vulnerable the little man is in life, with all the forces arrayed around him, often seeming so unsympathetic of our fate. "Who is to help us?", I wondered. I imagined the Guardian Angels, ever-watching over us, ever sympathetic. I wondered why angels were so often depicted with white, out-stretched wings.

Suddenly, into my mind flashed an image of a huge, Garuda-like bird, coming down to save a man and carry him to safety on her back. With a hard, almost armoured head, the difficult things of life are nothing for such a bird, who can protect us from any danger. I was reminded of the saying of Jesus that God looks after even the smallest of birds, he sees when they need food and when they fall from the nest.

Commentary- Imagine my surprise when I came into school, a warm feeling of safety suffusing me after my vision, to see that charming Yoko-Chan had rescue a little bird. In an ironic reversal of my vision, a human was helping a bird. She had saved it from her cat, who had hunted it and brought it to her the day before. She was taking it to school so as to take it to an animal charity later in the day, not wanting it to be endangered at home. She told me that she had lain awake all night worrying about it.

I was struck not just with the similarity of the vision, but that also another teacher that I had become very friendly with had had a similar experience, in which she saved a poor dogs life when another teacher had wanted to call the animal catcher and have it put down instead. This was such a similar show of heartfelt compassion and purity of mind, that I started to wonder if it is a sign, God telling me that these are people to be trusted. For them, too, it is like a kind of life-test... which is more important, their convenience or ending the suffering of another. In each case, they chose the path of kindness, which is beautiful.

A Message From God to Humanity

Now it's time for God to speak. God has opinions and views too, just like you or me, only his are always right!

"I won't let one little creature suffer in vain, none shall perish from my broad Earth without my consent. I watch over all, over all I watch just as the shepherd his sheep, just as the night watchman his tasked properties. There is no minute in which I blink, missing what occurs- all I see and all I know. My concern is for all who shelter under my broad skies. All I love, not just the few, although some may indeed know me in their hearts better than others do.

I wish for you all to develop the sensitivity I gave you- the sensitivity with which you were born. This is my message, the message of the eons, the message that my faithful creatures and messengers have ever conveyed, including the one currently speaking as he types.

I wish you to develop all that is highest in you- every highest urge- for in this, in this sentience, in this compassion, you reveal how I have set you up as greater than any animal. You can appreciate great beauty, the more you notice, the more you shall notice. You can feel great warmth and love for one another- and this type of feeling will make you feel good like none other. your satisfaction is already clear to you- in loving and in serving others can you be who you really are and in doing so you inevitably serve me.

Love me as I love you- I love as a father, yet you may well love as a child. a child with much to learn, yet in your image like me, your father. In your capacity for this greatest of all miracles- the ability to love- you are indeed like me. Think of quality, not quantity and the truth will be yours. The more you love me, the less you will fear me- that's the way it works. Yet as your love fades, so your fear may well rise- as anything is better to me than apathy. Yet it is your love I wish for, not your fear, though in the religions of the world I see so much of the latter, it saddens me that you cannot always find my better way to be good. Give from wanting to, not from fear of what will happen if you don't. Give freely, as I have given to you.

In an hour you cannot expect, I may well test you- and you may well have the sense that I am doing just that. My test is no more cruel or unnecessary than that of your schoolmasters, yet if your faith is steady you will 'pass' every test and will never be punished for failing one. Better still, those that pass shall enjoy the wonders of the next grade, wonders incomparably better than what preceded them- so such tests are in fact in your interest!

I have always, will always and am right now speaking through my appointed messengers. If you wish to know who is really a chosen messenger and who just wants to be one, test by the kindness and deep, searching truth of the message. Those that are of me do this for me, not for themselves and their messages are ever-brimming with authentic hope, though also laden with warnings of what could go wrong if an unfaithful path is followed. My prophets do not simply say what will happen- they lead by saying what may well happen, depending upon the choices made. Many a tragedy has thus been averted- hence my chosen system of lifting up the pure to lead humanity from me, not necessarily those already holding the reins of political or other powers. Mine are the pure, the humble, the meek, the kind, the patient, the loving, the lovable. You will know those who are of me. Just ask your heart. You will know".

Message ends. Was that really God? I believe so... but ultimately only you can know for yourself.

On The Book of Life

The Bible speaks at times about a Book of Life, into which the names of the faithful go. Of course, my broad interpretation of 'faithful' is far more than the members of any particular religious sect- it is the children of humanity that have love in their hearts and the courage to share this with others. It is those who are at one with the lifestream of God's 'blood'- the love that encloses the universe as a womb of experience, that nourishes all within it- and the divine will to protect this womb. Like the great oceans and milk-oceans of stars, this blood is the love of God, it flows everywhere, it reaches and nourishes all, like a wine to refresh the spirit. There shall ever be new bottles for new wine, new bodies for new partakings of God's gifts to us all.

The Book of Life, that book from which the terrible sinners are erased, never to be reborn again, never to taste the heavens, never to return to God.
To be blotted out for all time! To not exist again- to be lost, rejected, proven unworthy of God's trust! What a fate- no Earthly punishment can compare. Hence those who are clearly written in the Book of Life are quite evidently strong enough to endure even to the worst that mankind can hand out in their attempts to punish those who they deem to be wrongdoers- and along with them the occasional Holy Man mistaken for a criminal, simply because he might break their laws of common ways to relate, simply because his love may know no bounds, may know no rules, may expand beyond the false limits placed by social convention in which only some deserve love.

Yet who will ultimately be chosen by the powers that ultimately be, the powers of heaven, those that persecute and try to bury the truth of God's eternal and unconditional love, of God's forgiveness- or those who are lost, of those who through no fault of their own have been forgotten by the sons of men,- the blind, the sick, the sinners and the lost- let the great shepherd of God gather them all in, all into the great field of Love, in which all may freely graze on the spiritual fruits of eternity.

Love, Life, all are one. So have love in your life, lest you get stuck in some small puddle, whilst the great river of life bubbles happily on around you. Be not stuck! Flow, baby, flow- love is forever and forever is for NOW!

The Language of Heaven

Another thing I wish to investigate are the words, the sayings, the rules of Heaven. For we know all to much of those of Rome, of 'The World'... yet, how do angels, ever-loving angels see things? When in heaven, do as angels do... this shall be the motto of this research, this revelation. It is easy just to say we should follow god's will, but what, generally, is it? What does it mean to love our brothers as ourselves? What does it mean to help God as angels do... to care for all others, without a thought for ourselves, to know the battle is already won?

Fo me, I love words and I wish to know more of the words of heaven, the ways of heaven. Just as Swedenborg found out, so to some extent I hope shall I. Seek, and yee shall find. I just love heaven, the heavenly emotions so much that I want to know more of them. Of course, I love the Earth, but i want to help make it more heavenly, more spiritual... more perfect. Day by day, moment by moment, God reveals himself to us. This subject is aiming at revealing some of the messages contained in this revelation.

The Beginning.

The Heaven of the Small

Having established that my inner voice can flow freely here, I will go on to say what I wish to do next... more macro photography. I see in this small world a kind of heaven. Really, a heaven- perhaps the paradise wrapped up inside everything and simultaneously surrounding it, as spoken of in my favourite, The Urantia Book.

Just as mortals say that, 'All roads lead to Rome' and 'When in Rome do as Rome does'- the very sayings of Caesar's world; so angels say, 'All worlds lead to heaven' and 'When in Heaven do as Angels do'. (I think it is a crying shame that so few people will ever read this, but there you go... at least bits may make their way to other, more accessible sites... Certainly, God can hear me here and those who really care enough to look).

So have no fear; God's kingdom shall triumph... but even while that triumph is the stuff of legends and mythology, to be realised fully far in the future, you can see the reality of heaven, right here and now. No, you don't need to climb Mt Everest and enjoy the view from the peaks there... not to say that isn't exhilarating and beautiful. You don't need to dive deep in shoals of tropical fish, or even go to the greatest gardens ever made, mere echoes of Eden though they may be. No, you can see this anywhere, in the smallest of parks... parks being gem-stones of Heaven that God, in His infinite power, made sure would be available throughout the world. You can, with the right eyes, see it in the worst of places, hidden in the gloom and of course also in the best ones, too.

Look into a flower, deep within it, especially just after the rain stops and it still glistens with the dew-like raindrops that remain. Look into this, perhaps with some strange, suddenly gigantic insect making it's way around it... and you will see heaven. Heaven in a flower. And it is great, and it is vast. You cannot imagine the scope of it, the scale you behold. The colours, they are beautiful, wonderful, fantastic to the point of hardly being believable. See them, taste them, drink deep of them, for that colour is the life-blood of this universe, in a sense the ever-flowing blood of Christ in the creation... the beingness of it all.

If you stop blocking it, you will find it utterly unbelievable... and then you will be transported to another world, a more real world, the one we lived in in Eden. So quiet and peaceful. There is music, oh yes. The whistling of the wind, the gentle swaying of branches. Birds and fluttering insects... so delicate, so infused with higher meanings. Oh, it is all so real and all so near. Touch it and ascend... I guarantee that in this peace you will find memories that shine far brighter than so many others. You will see things that make you believe that there is a God, there is intelligence out there... such a rich intelligence, our heart pounds to be nearer to it... to the divine artist that could orchestrate such wonders... such wonders so near to us, so accessible to each and any one of us... bringing heaven right here and now!

So, in more mundane terms, I want to find time to return to the world of macro photography, in which mythic worlds rose up before me in the miniature, one moment after another, each a breath of eternity, each suffused with love, with all it's divine warmth and colour.

The Beginning (an alternative to closing with 'The End'!)

An Angelic Encounter

I had a wonderful experience recently. During a boring meeting at school, my mind started to wonder off... I was transported to a beautiful green location with a rushing waterfall and a trickling stream. It was some heavenly region- the stream was alive with intelligence and glistening with colour from the sun. A wise, kind angel was speaking to me, teaching me what to teach to you.

The first priority, he showed me, should be seeing that everyone has enough to eat and shelter over their heads. 'Blessed are the Poor' said Jesus- which to my mind says we should cherish and look after the poor, not scorn them as so many still do. The next step would be basic education and freedom from harm. After that would come higher education and spiritual education and so on- all prioritised according to the level of need. The world itself would of course be focusing enormous resources on helping the developing countries to at least have a decent level of stability and comfort. Such issues would be major issues, not side-issues.

He taught me that there is indeed a longing for more religion, so as to give people meaning and a sense of purity in their lives- but as so often happens most of this is misdirected or even misguided. The large fundamentalist movements may seem dangerous, but they stem from a real sense that something is wrong and our lifestyles should be corrected.

Rather than fundamentalism, which bases itself on a return to being obedient to scriptures in a literal sense- why not move with the times while staying true to the essence of them? This could be called Essentialism- a movement which focuses first and foremost on what is most essential, prioritising in a good and decent manner. It also reads the essence of what is taught in the scriptures- loving one another, not getting jealous, making situations more peaceful- the feelings that the scriptures encourage us to nourish within ourselves. These feeling-values are more basic than the behavioural rules we hear so much about in connection with religion. Yet such rules mainly reinforce cultural identities these days, often making people feel divided from one another by the small differences involved in such rules.

True religion isn't so much about believing in God as in doing God's Will - this reluctance to reduce things to set doctrines is something Jesus himself seems to demonstrate in his disputes with the literalistic, and hence often sophistic, Pharisees. They were full of words but they lacked sincerity; they were successful on the surface but failing when it came to the essential issues of life. When one has such difficulty responding to our mortal life, how can one even begin to appreciate the subtle reality of Eternal Life?

This 'Essentialism' could in a sense be confused with socialism, as it activates and cherishes a social conscience. But a difference is that it is friendly to religious feeling, which it doesn't blame for past failures and also to the arts and accepting of the free market. Above all, the main difference being that this comes from an expression of compassion rather than as a centralised source of politicised power, with all the problems that brings. Of course, it is to some extent socialistic, yet if a comparable form of organisation was wanted for illustration, a better one would be the organised charities.

Just imagine it- a whole world revolving around the teachings of Essentialism, reading religious texts not to find literal meanings, nor dark mystic secrets, but to find the spirit of doing the right thing at the right time and all being happier for it. This is the promise of Essentialism, as taught by a great angel, beside the glistening, laughing stream of life.

What is Infinity?

Let us stop for a moment and wonder- what really is infinity? Why should we have an end-goal without having any clear idea of what it is?

Infinity is clarity. Infinity is the all-in-all. Infinity is the end of all becomings and the birth of the transcendant. Only infinity cannot be described by words. We came from infinity and to infinity again we shall return.

Each Small Moment

The discovery of peace - That each small moment is a pathway to the infinite. Posted by Picasa

From a Moment to Infinity

Seeing the different sides I have within myself, I would say that we have many personalities for many situations. The key is to be flexible enough to change and thereby never encounter stress, from a situation unplanned for. You will never always be alone, to contemplate life's mysteries and those of your own psyche. Likewise, you will not always have other people around, particularity not those who really understand you. You need to relate to different people all the time- sometimes a boss, sometimes a co-worker, sometimes a friend or a child. So a flexible personality is the key to unlocking the door to our holy grail- a life filled with meaning, yet devoid of stress. Without suffering. If only we could teach our children not so much to be a particular way, as to be adaptable.

We need to always be aware that life is ever-changing. Even on the molecular level there are constant births and deaths. These are mirrored by the births and deaths of that which we experience- which is not in fact hours or minutes but in actuality moments. Rising and falling in our conscious like the sun for the world each day. Reality for us is a series of interlinked moments which flow from one to another, not always in a linear fashion. Perhaps by using our higher-brain powers we can piece together some kind of hologram of this situation, but certainly it is different from the many attempts to represent it in a linear, two-dimentional fashion. Why should time be two-dimentional? Don't our memories and hopes colour the present with their rich hues? Time itself is a mystery begging contemplation.

So here we are, living moment-to-moment, making choices based on our values, constantly- this is what life really is. The other, linear thing is a kind of zoned-out state of consciousness, much like that experienced by a zombie in 'Night of the Living Dead'. So if we want to be alive, to be vibrant like the dawn-star who gives us light each day, we need to be aware. As I argue, the only awareness is that of the living moment, coloured though it might be by our perceptions of other times.

When I get into this kind of subject more and more, I feel the 'Overself' emerging. Perhaps it is the 'Thought-Adjuster' spoken of in the Urantia book- perhaps it is a spirit-guide- but whoever it is, it appears as some kind of Atlantean, Egyptian or Tibetan personality. A character who possesses the lost wisdom that the ancients called their own. A cosmic wisdom, a wisdom without fear of pressure or confusion- something more complete than that known nowadays. Like the symbol on the hieroglyphics, it is the sign of the wings of the spirit; homo-ignateous. Not so much the Superman as the next man-the man becoming an angel of mercy and wisdom. The human who realises that to reach an ability to fulfill the values he holds dear, it is necessary to evolved first.

Yet in the space of a lifetime, little evolution is possible. No doubt a lifetime is crammed full of trillions of the moments I elude to above- spaces of time microscopically smaller than a mili-second. Yet even so, in the grand scheme that is a small period. So, knowing that my own limited faculties will not be able to see enough of the truth to effectively guide me, I seek the wisdom of those far more developed than I. The Overself, the mind-adjuster, prayers to God Almighty.

This blog is primarily to transmit their wisdom. The issue of who I am is not entirely irrelevant, this is not an exercise in any sort of self-annihilation, but it is not the primary purpose of this transmission. Here you can see my true mission as I best understand it- to spread light and truth to a confused, trembling planet and thus aid it's discovery of peace. It is important that I again emphasise that the teachings contained herein are not the product of my fragmentary and limited mind. I lay no claim to having constructed them. They are not the product of any particular genius I may possess- they were merely given to me, in my mental anguish of unknowingness- to share. As much as possible, I hope to do so here.
